Defining the Need
Target User Group
This product is aimed at individuals with a large amount of self-managed time, such as independent developers. These users need a tool to record their daily tasks and motivate themselves to avoid wasting time.
User Profile Analysis
Many people (myself included) describe themselves as "low-energy individuals"—meaning they lack the energy to operate complex time management or task management software. Simply managing these tools can consume significant precious energy, leaving them drained when it's time to actually execute tasks.
Core Problem Breakdown
Applying first principles thinking, the surface-level issues are two-fold: recording where time goes and encouraging efficient use of time. However, the root of these issues may be the user's inner anxiety and unease about wasting time.
Product Philosophy
From a subjective standpoint, the product’s core is not to help users complete specific tasks on a factual level, but to reduce their psychological burden from an individual mental health perspective. Any improvements in task execution, time utilization, or work efficiency are considered added bonuses.
Theoretical Support
Referencing the "80/20 rule": users might spend 80% of their time generating 20% of their output. This doesn’t mean most of that time is wasted—rather, it’s used to maintain mental health and normal brain function, preparing for those high-value moments of output. If users remain constantly anxious, they cannot enter a state of inspiration and lose the potential to create high-value work.
Core Product Value
The primary goal is to help users reduce anxiety and maintain a healthy mental state, thereby enabling them to have the potential to create truly valuable work.
